Victaulic Company, the originator of grooved mechanical couplings, has filed a lawsuit against AJS Co. Ltd., of Yeoju, South Korea, in the Seoul Central District Court, for infringement of Victaulic's South Korean patents related to its Installation-Ready couplings and technologies. 

The lawsuit claims that AJS Co. Ltd., knowingly infringes Victaulic's South Korean patents in violation of the law by marketing and selling the AJS Co. model AJ510 and AJ520R "One-Stop" Grooved Joint products. In its lawsuit, Victaulic has asked the Court to issue an injunction preventing AJS from selling any products that infringe Victaulic's patented technology. Prior to filing the lawsuit, Victaulic sent several formal communications to AJS, advising them that the AJ510 and AJ520R products violated Victaulic's patents, and requesting that they stop the sale of these infringing products, which AJS refused to do. Following those refusals, Victaulic filed its lawsuit to protect its investment in new technologies, in the South Korean market, and the enforceability of its South Korean patents.
